My sister works here and they are all very nice, but you have to watch out for some workers. Some are rude. My sister said that on employee said to a lady what can I help you with and she told him what she needed and then he said it will be 10 minutes. She cane back in the 10 minutes and he was back there cleaning the meat tables for 20 minutes, looking up at her every few minutes. She went to get a manager and right when the employee saw the manager come out and start talking to her, he cane out and said is there a problem. The lady went off on him. But don't be fooled by why I just said. They are all very very very very nice. The even have military and army discounts.

Great place to get all of your catering, event and party needs. Easy pre-ordering available, but not necessary. Adam in Customer Service is awesome to work with! Fast, easy and dependable.

I am really impressed with the quality of the food and I now include Maines in my regular shopping. They have great produce deals and I love the meat prices/offerings. Their bread is also very good! I will keep going and I hope they stick around for a long time.

Was not a fan of Maines when they first opened shop in Rochester.(then closed, and opened again) The prices were not very competitive (in my opinion) with other local grocery stores. I liked the whole "wholesale club without the membership" vibe...and I'm sort of a fan of club stores. In the past I wasn't, but as I have got older I grew to like them. But let's be real. The worst part of club stores is having to pay for that membership. So Maine's should have been up my Alley. It wasn't though. Yeah you can buy in bulk but I didn't see much of a savings...until recently. I recently took advantage of an incredible coupon deal that they offered if you were signed up for their email notification and newsletter. 100 dollars off 200 dollars or more. Wow! Clearly they are trying to reel in former Sam's club members. Well it worked because the store was as full as I've ever seen it...talking packed like a sardine can. I almost missed out on this deal too. I had put a order in for 10lbs of ribs for the Superbowl. On the day I went to pick them up I noticed there was an incredible amount of people in the store...it was like they were paying people to shop. So still confused I went to check out and overheard the lady in front of me talking about her coupon..I asked about it and she told me how to get it..and also that the coupon expires the next day. Yikes! So I went home and printed off a coupon and was prepared to go back the next day. I did...right when they opened. And again it was packed from the get go! So I hurried through the store as if i was a contestant on supermarket sweep...and while throwing things in my cart I begin to notice that the prices were actually way better than previous years I had visited. Score! Which will actually make me revisit without a coupon. Keep it up Maine's...stay competitive. My advice is check other local grocery stores and if you can't beat their deals, at least try to match them.

Just recently reopened. Seems a little more expensive now perhaps. Definitely had a lot more foot traffic in the store, which perhaps bodes well.

I noticed this just opened recently and because I was in the vicinity of the building, I figured it was worth a shot to see if Maines may be a potential store to add to my Saturday grocery trips. Pleasantly, I was surprised to see what I found inside. Maines operates similarly to what a BJ's or Sam's Club is in terms of selling bulk foods, especially when it came to the meats and produce section. The meat prices are actually the lowest I've seen but you do have to buy in bulk to get the great deal so unless you need a massive hunk of beef you have to cut up and dividend yourself, you're not really scoring much of a bargain. Their individual packaged cuts are up the same alley in price but again, they are large sized quantities. The same can be said for the produce section which will be to your left as soon as you walk into the store. I'm not sure if these are going to be around all year but they have two massive bins of apples you can get for fifty cents per apple. They don't have the gems like Honeycrisp though so you are left with the basics here but if you only need just a few, it isn't that terrible of a deal. They do sell normal sized and small sized portions of boxed goods just like you can find in other stores and some are cheaper but some are more expensive liked the boxed cereals and baked goods. Don't count on their being any fresh goods though because I did not find a bakery at all in the store...very disappointing. However, Maines does have some features that makes it more then worth some return visits. Besides the nice deals on meat and some of the frozen meals, there are no membership fees to be found which does place a step above establishments like Sam's in terms of saving money but again, because Sam's deals ALL in bulk, you will have to buy bulk here at Maines to find that deal. While I probably won't be a repeat visitor every week, I will definitely make the trip when I need to stock up on some fresh meat. Did I mention that they also have free samples?
